The Foreign Minister noted that a big layer of the Lithuanian culture and identity had been destroyed during the Holocaust, but each lost life was of the greatest importance. Therefore, the memory must be cherished and passed on to future generations.

Multilateral Relations » European Union »On 30 March, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Mantas Adomėnas took part in the fifth Brussels Conference 'Supporting the future of Syria and the region' and voiced Lithuania’s support for refugees affected by conflict in Syria and for internally displaced persons. The conference took place in a virtual format. Lithuania's Foreign Vice-Minister also expressed Lithuania’s support for the United Nations Special Envoy for Syria Geir O. Pedersen and for a peaceful solution to the Syria conflict, in line with the UN Security Council Resolution 2254, as well as stressed the need to seek accountability for crimes committed in Syria.
