On 28 January 2014 Ambassador Gediminas Varvuolis met with Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives Mr Francois-Xavier De Donnea.

Cooperation possibilities between Belgian and Lithuanian parliamentarians have been discussed during the meeting, opinions on worldwide topical issues and Lithuania‘s work in the United Nations Security Council have been exchanged. Special attention has been given to the efforts of the United Nations to resolve the conflict in the Great Lakes Region. Ambassador G.Varvuolis presented the achievements of the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the EU and UN Security Council Presidency priorities of February 2014.
