On 11 March 2014 H.E. Gediminas Varvuolis met with H.E. Chairwoman of the Belgian Senate Sabine De Bethune. 

Topical bilateral issues, inter-parliamentary cooperation, Lithuania’s accession to the euro zone, results of the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, situation in Ukraine have been discussed during the meeting. 

President of the Senate has congratulated the delegation on the Day of Re-establishment of the Independence of Lithuania.
