In Flemish Chamber of Commerce - day devoted to Lithuania

On 3rd of June Flanders Chamber of Commerce Voka - Mechelen organized economic event "Bar International – Lithuania”.

On this occasion, Ambassador Gediminas Varvuolis met with the leaders of Mechelen and Willebroek cities and also visited the region’s operating companies that are interested or already engaged in cooperation with Lithuania.
In the evening the Chamber of Commerce held a meeting with the Flemish companies seeking for partners or intending to invest in Lithuania. Flanders Investment and Trade Agency (Flanders Investment and Trade - FIT) introduced the region of Flanders, business development opportunities. The Ambassador, in turn, presented the advantages of investing in Lithuania, encouraged companies to come to the Lithuanian market. Presentations were given by Flemish companies that are already working in Lithuania and Virtus H.Essers managers. Kaunas Free Economic Zone leader Freddy Opsomer informed about the opportunities offered by the free zone. Lithuanian business representative in Brussels Tomas Vasilevskis introduced the environment of business promotion in Lithuania and Invest Lithuania agency’s services to potential foreign investors.
On 3rd of June Ambassador also visited Antwerp, where he participated in a group meeting with the ambassadors with mayor of Antwerp and the largest political parties in the Flemish NVA manager Bart de Wever, other Antwerp city and port managers.
