Kaunas 2022 Opening Ceremony
It took five years for Kaunas and Kaunas district to prepare for this historical event: the title year of the European Capital of Culture will be opened on January 22, 7:30 p.m (EET time zone) with the first Act of the Contemporary Myth of Kaunas Trilogy - The Confusion!
The Contemporary Myth of Kaunas Trilogy covers three main events of “Kaunas – European Capital of Culture 2022”. These events are a symbolic transition of the city to a modern, free-spirit and confident community. Moreover, it’s the beginning of the new Myth of the city, and everyone can become a creator of it!
