On 29 September, Ambassador Gediminas Varvuolis and Ambassador Roberto Ochoa Madrid signed the Memorandum of Understanding between Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Honduras. The agreement establishes a mechanism of bilateral consultations between the Ministries on all aspects of their bilateral relations and provides a possibility to exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest as well as on developments taking place in the regional and international fora.

Lithuania and Honduras established their diplomatic relations on January 26, 2005.
