The World Bank’s “Doing Business 2014” report, released on Tuesday, ranks Lithuania in the highest position in Central and Eastern Europe, and the 6th highest in the European Union.

HugaasGruppen, one of the largest producers of prefabricated steel buildings in Norway, will establish a modern manufacturing facility in Klaipeda, investing EUR 3.9 million.

Russia’s leading online retailer to set up a branch in Lithuania

Lamoda.ru, Russian leading online retailer, launched its own Development Center in Vilnius. The Center in Lithuania will cover site Lamoda.ru development and back office operations.

Lithuania has made progress on its investment environment but needs more flexible labour regulation and workers with specialized skills, according to the Investment Advisory Council (IAC).
