In the future the centre should become the place were seminars, lectures and film screenings will take place.
Chairman of the Lithuanian community in Belgium Arnoldas Pranckevicius says that the Lithuanian Culture Centre in Brussels is a unique example of the initiative by the Lithuanian Diaspora to care not only for the education of children, but propagating the Lithuanian language in mixed families by offering language courses to non-native speakers.
The centre operates in the premises of the Lithuanian representation to the European Union. Currently 90 people have chosen to attend activities offered by the culture centre. On working days the activities take place in the evenings, whereas on Sundays during day time.
