Lithuania’s economy and investment opportunities were presented at Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce

On September 29th a Lithuanian business delegation consisting of “Invest Lithuania”, Association of Lithuanian Banks, Lithuanian venture capital association together with the Embassy of Lithuania in Belgium visited Luxembourg, where they attended a public even presenting Lithuania’s economy and investment possibilities.

The event was organized by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Kingdom of Belgium. The main aim of the event was to inform the companies in Luxembourg about the Lithuanian economy, private and venture capital investments and business development opportunities between Lithuania and Luxembourg. During the meeting the members of Lithuania’s delegation: the president of Association of Lithuanian Banks Stasys Kropas, the general manager of “Invest Lithuania” Mantas Katinas and managing partner of Venture capital association Šarūnas Šiugžda gave presentations about business environment in Lithuania, the role of the banking sector and ecosystem of the Baltic states venture capital. More than 50 Luxembourg companies interested in cooperation with Lithuania attended the seminar.

During the visit, the delegation also visited the European Investment Bank and the Luxembourg Institute of Banking Training, had a meeting with Secretary General of Luxembourg Bankers Association Alain Hondequin and Deputy Head at the agency “Luxembourg for Finance” Tom Theobald. Finally, the members of Lithuania’s delegation discussed key topics of Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the EU with a Director for International Economic Relations and European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Luxembourg.
