Opening of the to A.J. Greimas dedicated exposition in Liege, Belgium

The celebration of the A.J. Greimas year - the year dedicated to the academic achievements in the field of visual semiotics by A.J. Greimas - continues at he university of Liege, Belgium.

The celebration of the A.J. Greimas year, a world-renowned  semitiotics scientist, continues with the opening of the interactive, triligual exhibition "World through the eyes of semioticist" in Liege. Jean Winand, deputy dean of  Liege university gave the opening speech; The Ambassador Gediminas Varvuolis and the OIF (International francophone organization) representative to the EU Stéphane Lopez in their addresses emphasized the value of A.J. Greimas' academic achievements as well his symbolic role in the building of the Belgo - Lithuanian cultural relationship. 

The academic seminar "A. J. Greimas and visual semiotics", dedicated to the research methods based on the ones developed by A. J. Greimas and widely used by the semiotics departament at the Liege University, supported the opening of the exhibition.

The event is a joint effort of the Lithuanian Embassy, Lithuanian National UNESCO commission and Liege university
