Project: Hydrophonic Technology for Growing Feed in Algerian Farms

Project: Hydrophonic technology for growing feed in Algerian farms

Aleksandras Stulginskis University is an active participant in Lithuanian Program of Development Cooperation and Supporting Democracy. This July the university has signed yet another contract for the development cooperation project “Hydrophonic technology for growing feed in Algerian farms”.

The aim of the project is to strengthen Algerian agricultural institutions by applying newest technology. This could help face challenges of supplying enough agricultural production and improving the socioeconomic situation in Algeria.

The technology used in the project is quite simple yet innovative. It can help ensure that enough feed is produced despite the difficult weather conditions in Africa. The technology that aids the supply of feed can help boost the potential of animal agriculture, develop businesses and create new jobs. This could help Algeria develop economically and contribute to the social progress.

The budget needed for the project: 8 000 Eur. It is financed by Lithuanian Development Cooperation and Support for Democracy program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lithuania. Participating projects are to be completed by 1 October 2018.
