The Centennial March in Belgium
Lithuanian trekkers club in Belgium organized a march to commemorate the Centennial of the restoration of statehood of Lithuania. A distance of 100 kilometers was completed on bicycles and foot. The march started in Leuven and was finished in Lithuanian embassy in Brussels.
Participants visited the most important places for Lithuania in Belgium, such as the Catholic University of Leuven and symbolically (according to the finished distance) commemorated the most important dates of Lithuanian history starting from 1918, while learning interesting history trivia.
Everyone was welcome to participate as people could freely choose the leg of the march that interested them. Children were invited to play special games in Woluve Park.
